Five Classic Children’s Novels That Will Keep Your Child Interested and Learning

Classic children’s books have a reputation of being fun and entertaining, but they were also written to teach valuable lessons in life. From the time of the ancient Greeks to the 19th century, there have been many books that are considered classics, but here are five of my favorite classics for kids that will help them become better people.

“Nancy Drew” is a classic children’s book about a young girl who solves mysteries with her detective knowledge. This classic was written by Agatha Christie and was adapted into a movie in the 1980s. This classic is a great introduction to the world of mysteries, as it tackles themes such as murder, deception, and the importance of investigating everything around you.

“The Legend of King Arthur and Queen Guinevere” is another great children’s book that features the legendary knights, Lancelot and Guinevere. This classic children’s novel was first published in 16th century France and has sold millions of copies worldwide. In the story, Lancelot sets out to find the Holy Grail and Queen Guinevere try to stop him from finding the Grail by using the powers of witchcraft. This is a classic children’s novel with a lot of adventure and suspense.

“Tom Sawyer” is another classic children’s novel that has made a name for itself over the years. Set at sea in an early part of the 19th century, Tom finds himself in a place where pirates rule the roost and he must find a way to escape the cruel clutches of these villains. This is a classic children’s novel that is entertaining and exciting and is one that every child should read to learn a few things.

“Wicked and the Damned Do Us Part” is a children’s classic novel that was written by James Hilton Longstreet. The story revolves around a boy named Jimmy who lives in poverty. He knows that his mother died long ago when she was pregnant with him, but he doesn’t believe in heaven. Jimmy lives in the backwoods and suffers from being picked on and beaten at school.

“Huckleberry Finn” is another classic children’s novel that was written by Mark Twain. The story is set in the late 1800s and is told in the form of journal entries between Huck and Jim.

These are five of my favorite classic children’s classics that will help kids learn valuable lessons in life. Whether they read this story because they like the author or because they like the books themselves, these are some great books to share with kids of all ages.

Another classic children’s novel you might want to try is “Wuthering Heights.” This book about a girl growing up in Victorian England is a favorite among many parents.

I know of several other classic children’s novels that you might want to check out. “The Adventures of Tom Sawyer”The Princess and the Pea.” You can also try “The Huckleberry Finn.”

These are just a few of the hundreds of classics, children have enjoyed and continue to enjoy today. There are so many great books available for children of all ages and you should never have any trouble finding a few that will entertain your child.
